Fordingbridge is a town and broader civil parish with a population of 6,000 on the River Avon in the New Forest District of Hampshire, England, near the Dorset and Wiltshire borders and on the edge of the New Forest, famed for its late medieval seven-arch bridge.

Fordingbridge is recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086 under the name Forde. The manor was held by a certain Robert from "Robert the son of Gerald". Prior to 1066 it had been held by Alwy from King Edward.

Fordingbridge is famous for The Great Bridge with its seven graceful arches spanning the river. The town of Fordingbridge was originally known as "Forde" and the "bridge" element of the name was not added until the Avon was first spanned at this point.
